Human-computer interaction or HCI is how people interact with platforms. An example of this are things like the keyboard and mouse of the PC, the X-box`s controller this is the same of the Play station and any older consoles, the Human-computer interaction also links to Interface devices, which are things like a keyboard, mouse and controller.

A Human-computer interaction is how the player interacts with the game as an example. This can be achieved through many different things like:
Mouse & Keyboard
The keyboard and mouse are designed in such a way that it enables humans to interact with them with an ease, they are some advantages when playing games with these such as a high sensitivity control, movement of the player and camera are set on two different devices. One of the downsides of the keyboard is that it was built to work on, this has been changed throughout the years, so that it becomes more compatible with games, but there are still certain games remained that are not successfully ported to the keyboard and the mouse. On the other hand, there are games that are more successful on the keyboard and mouse an a example of this is the MMORPG genre.
Controller
A controller has an ergonomic design so that it could be easily used, according to preferences. Some of the advantages of the controller are the simplicity of the design that allows people of all ages to understand how they are used. It has a uniform design which usually consists of two analog sticks, four buttons, not including the buttons located under the analog stick, usually a button to get into the interface , which is located in the center of the controller. There are also different designs of controllers: steering wheel, dance mat, guitar.
Motion Control
Motion Control is a sensor that is allowing you to use your body as a control and can be found in devices such as x-box connect and Nintendo Wii. There are some disadvantages to Motion Controls, such as:
Voice Control
Voice control is relative new form of control and is not implemented in many designs. An example of it would be the kinect function of voice control, which allows you to access certain commands such as x-box Skype and x-box sign out.
