Some other forms of platform dependency are exclusive games, these are usually exclusive to consoles meaning the game can only be purchased for a certain console. An example of this is Heavy Rain, this game is exclusive only for the PlayStation 3. The reason this game is exclusive to PlayStation 3 is the technology required to run it was only on the PS3 and PC. They chose only to release it on the PlayStation to sell more of their consoles offering this game within the package. This shows that this particular game is Platform Dependent as it can only be played on one specific Platform.
